The Vietnamese government is one of the worst in the world! The consequences of more than 40 years of downward economy and education leads the generations of Vietnamese youth to be clueless enough to the point of getting bored and uninterested, knowing nothing about Viet culture, art or values of it. That makes me wonder: "What could i do to change this?".
The concept of Art is to express oneself so clear that other people can both learn from it or explore their own true self as well. Art has been a form of strong education, the education of the soul and infinite limits that could set us free in so many ways possible.
These kinds of Art today in Viet Nam have been wider and broadened to more audiences and ages but i'm so worried about generations of children who haven't got the opportunities to search for the right arts and knowledge they should be having. The kind of art that is interesting enough for Vietnamese to feel great and proud, to really know who they are and what they would want to do.
What if Art can do it?
What if all we need is a little bit of self-recognition?
What if we come together and make something that all of us could be proud for really being Vietnamese?
That being said, i have a dream. It is making the first coolest, greatest Vietnamese cartoon EVER! So the youth can watch and feel proud. As the old can watch with their kids and feel hopeful while the youngest generations can naturally nurture the basic ideas of the culture and values that would again, help us rise back up from the pit we have been in for the last 40 years.
That has been on my mind. The great inspiration i got is from Ghibli. The 2D animation studio that rocks the world animation system and drawing style that brought Japanese animation to its historic mark. And the Japanese are proud of that. It is a strange comparison, but i think art would help boost the economy like nothing else could.
Below is a picture i drew showcasing the main characters in my future animation.
